I’ve been loyal to IHG for about six years. The first few were great service felt personal, rewards actually felt like rewards. But the last couple years? Big slide.
Rooms that used to be 26k points are now over 100k. My “free night” cert barely covers anything anymore. The same Budapest hotel I used to book for free now needs points on top of it.
And those little things the welcome drink, the water bottle, the warm cookie gone unless you ask. Feels like the whole loyalty program’s being hollowed out.
At this point the only real perk left is the 4th-night-free. I’m just hoping they don’t kill that too.
