Any tricks to avoid headaches from dehydration on long flights?

I don’t fly often, but every time I do, I get super dehydrated and end up with a brutal headache that lasts for hours. On a 5-hour flight a few years back, I kept buying bottled water but still couldn’t drink enough and they stopped service the last hour, which made it worse.


How much water do I actually need on a flight like that? Any travel hacks to stay hydrated without feeling miserable?
