Any solutions for severe dog allergies on Alaska flights?

I’ve got a bad dog allergy that triggers asthma attacks, swelling, and rashes. Every time I fly, I check with the gate to see if there are dogs nearby, and usually end up having to move seats often giving up a paid or status upgrade.

I’ve tried noting my allergy on my Alaska account, but it doesn’t seem to do anything. Agents say they’ve added it, yet I still get seated near dogs. I carry meds, an inhaler, Benadryl, and N95s, but it’s still rough.

Has anyone with similar allergies found a way to make this easier or more consistent?
