We’re doing a one way Inside Passage cruise to Whittier and our flight out of Anchorage isn’t until midnight. Looks like we’ll have roughly 12 hours to fill.
Right now I booked the transfer straight to ANC, but that probably means sitting at the airport all day. Not even sure if we could check bags that early.
Thinking about switching to a coach into Anchorage city center instead and exploring for a few hours. Is it easy to get from downtown to the airport later?
We’re looking for something low key. No small boat tours and no flightseeing. Maybe an easy walk, somewhere scenic, good food, that kind of thing.
Big question is what to do with luggage during the day.
First Alaska cruise and we’re excited, just trying to plan this last day smart.
