Been hunting for a TYO–JFK return in PE or J for months. Finally saw ANA open PE seats (but J only on wait-list), so I transferred points and decided to roll the dice, the J seat cleared instantly for ticketing even though it showed as wait-list only.
Posting as a datapoint in case anyone’s debating transferring points and taking the gamble.
