Amtrak train delayed 17 hours, departure eventually 22 hours late

Does anyone know what could have caused this delay? This is my first time traveling with Amtrak, and it has been a rough experience.

The train was initially delayed by 17 hours, and it eventually ended up departing almost 22 hours behind schedule.

Update: The train has finally departed after nearly a full day of delay.
