Yesterday I made a ~$5,200 online purchase on my Amex Gold. Today I noticed Amex cut my credit limit from $30,000 down to $8,400.
Only thing I can think of is that last month I paid my bill 3 days late. That’s the only late payment I’ve ever had.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is this usually temporary or did I just permanently nuke my limit? Any tips on how to get it back up would be appreciated.
