Americans who moved to Australia, was it worth it?

My husband and I are getting ready to apply for visas to move from the U.S. to Australia. We’re in the Southeast now and looking at the Mornington Peninsula area.

For those who’ve made the move, what are your biggest pros and cons? We’ve got two young kids, so trying to think it through carefully. Looking back, do you feel it was the right decision?
