Showed up in Marrakech with a confirmed biz-class return CMN–JFK that I booked through AA on Royal Air Maroc. At the airport they told me the flight was overbooked and I was waitlisted… even though I bought the ticket weeks ago. I didn’t get on.
RAM said AA had to rebook me. AA said it was RAM’s problem because they waitlisted me. Spent 4 hours getting bounced between both and neither would take responsibility or put me on another flight.
Ended up having to buy a separate $1800 economy ticket for the next day just to get home. Original ticket was $4900. My 5-year-old and her dad got on the flight, but not me. Completely surreal.
Anyone know the best way to get refunded here or who to push?
