After my original American Airlines flight AA755 from Paris (CDG) to Philadelphia (PHL) was canceled on June 1, I was rebooked onto AA9600 on June 3, which appears to operate on a rotating schedule depending on the day.
When I checked the business class meal options, it showed no meal service available because the flight was labeled as “short haul.” Curious, I reached out to customer service for clarification.
The agent confirmed that no meal would be served, explaining that the flight is considered “only 2 hours long.”
This is confusing given that the route typically departs Paris around 11:00 and arrives in Philadelphia around 13:15 local time, which is clearly longer than a 2-hour flight when accounting for transatlantic routing and time zones.
I’m also trying to confirm whether the original AA755 cancellation was related to operational issues such as fuel or scheduling adjustments, but I haven’t found clear information yet.
