Just flew Brisbane to Dallas in AA business class and honestly I’m still surprised at how bad it was.
First meal was rough. I ordered the fish and it was basically swimming in water, way overcooked, with two plain boiled potatoes and a tiny scoop of chopped tomatoes. My seatmate got the vegetarian option and it was just sad white rice with curry chickpeas that looked more like a side dish than a main.
I’m pescatarian so this stuff matters to me. Mid flight, the only non meat option was hummus and fruit. Snacks were the same packaged pretzels and nuts you get free on domestic flights, plus potato chips that ran out halfway through the flight.
For a 15 hour flight in business class, the food quality and quantity felt pathetic. I’ve flown Qantas and Korean Air recently and their economy class food and service were genuinely better than this.
Hard to justify paying a premium for a premium seat when the effort feels this low.
