As someone who’s flown through Charlotte more times than I can count, this news got me excited American Airlines is finally adding a Flagship lounge at CLT along with expanding its Admirals Club spaces. I’ve always found Charlotte’s lounges overcrowded, especially during peak connections, so this feels overdue. The Flagship lounge will include premium perks like champagne greetings, chef-inspired menus, and spa-style showers, which sounds like a huge step up from the current options.
I’ve used the Flagship lounge at JFK and loved it, so knowing CLT American’s second-largest hub is getting one is a big deal. It’ll make long layovers much more comfortable, especially on international connections. Has anyone here tried the newer Philadelphia lounge? I’m curious if Charlotte’s will follow that same design or have its own unique vibe. Would you pay for a one-day pass, or only use it with status?
