American Airlines Adds Athens, Prague, Budapest & More to Summer Network

Just heard, American Airlines is making a big push into Europe for summer 2026 with six new routes. Dallas/Fort Worth will get seasonal flights to Athens and Zurich, plus its Buenos Aires route will now run into summer. Philadelphia gains seasonal nonstops to Prague and Budapest, while Miami gets year-round service to Milan, returning after a five-year pause. On the Pacific side, AA is also upgauging its LAX and DFW flights to Tokyo Haneda from 787s to larger 777s, boosting premium seats by nearly 50%.

I’m glad to see American filling some of the gap with Delta and United when it comes to transatlantic options. Prague and Budapest in particular sound like fantastic summer getaways.

If you had to pick one of these new routes for next summer, which would you try first?
