Not really a complaint, more of a warning. If you’re grinding toward Ambassador thinking it gives you real protection, it really doesn’t.
Booked this stay over a month ago. Prepaid, two nights over a weekend, not a major city. We were there for a kid’s sports tournament. I get a call literally as I’m pulling into the parking lot, about an hour before check-in. Sorry, we’re overbooked, no rooms, we’re walking you to another property about 30 minutes away.
Manager was apologetic, but that doesn’t change much when you’ve already paid and are standing there with kids and gear.
When you compare Titanium vs Ambassador and think about the extra 25 nights and spend, it just doesn’t feel worth it. Even the so-called guaranteed booking benefit feels like a joke. I’ve heard of people getting insane “guarantee” rates, but getting outright walked like this was new for me.
Just sharing so others go in with realistic expectations.
