All four of my flights scheduled for the end of May 2026 with Turkish Airlines have been cancelled today. The routes were between Istanbul (IST) and Beirut (BEY), with the stated reason being force majeure/operational issues.
I’m wondering if this seems unusually early for cancellations, especially if it’s related to the current regional situation. For comparison, my previous flight scheduled for April 8 was only cancelled on April 2, much closer to the departure date.
Does this early cancellation suggest other possible reasons, like fuel constraints or operational planning issues, or is this standard in such situations?
