Alaska Summit card vs Ascent, is the extra fee actually worth it?

Looking at the Alaska credit cards and trying to figure out if the Summit card really makes sense over the Ascent.

From what I can tell, Summit gives 25k points each year tied to companion tickets plus another 10k points on the account anniversary. Using a rough value of about 1.6 cents per point, that’s around $560 in points from $35k spend.

With the annual fee at $395, it looks like you’d come out ahead by about $165 just from the points, and that’s before even counting the lounge passes.

Trying to decide if the math actually works out in real life or if I’m missing something.
