Just saw this bit of news and honestly kinda wild. Alaska didn’t get any Heathrow slots through the normal process, so they’re leasing a daily pair from American to run SEA to LHR starting May 2026. Daily 787 9s, at least through October, maybe longer if they can keep the lease or snag their own slots later.
Pretty cool to see them finally make LHR happen after announcing it months ago. Also hilarious that AA basically drops a Miami flight to free up the space. SEA LHR is about to be crowded with BA, Delta, Virgin, and now Alaska all in the mix.
