Alaska Airlines is genuinely one of the better US carriers in my experience. Consistently solid pilots, generally good on-time performance, and lounge access that makes the experience more pleasant overall.
That said, I have noticed a change in the white cheddar included in the Fruit & Cheese Plate, and it feels like a downgrade. The older version had a sharper, more distinctive flavor that actually stood out as the highlight of the snack. The current version is much milder and less memorable.
It might sound like a small detail, but for frequent flyers who tend to order the same onboard meals regularly, these small consistencies become part of the experience. The old cheese was one of those small but defining touches.
Curious if other Alaska regulars have noticed the same change or feel similarly about it.
