Alaska Airlines just dropped news of seven fresh routes from California, with a big focus on Hollywood Burbank Airport. Three new daily year-round flights from BUR to Eugene, Pasco, and Redmond kick off this October, stepping into space left by Avelo. The E175 jets will also be zipping passengers from San Diego to Sun Valley and Palm Springs to Santa Rosa this winter, making it easy to chase snow or sun.
As someone who loves smaller, efficient airports, I’m thrilled to see more options out of Burbank and Palm Springs. Plus, who doesn’t love the Wine Flies Free program? Alaska seems to be doubling down on regional demand, especially for skiers and weekend trippers. Anyone else planning to try one of these routes this winter? Thoughts on how this move will shake up West Coast travel?
