Saw the Alaska deal to Costa Rica and booked regular economy instead of basic. For about $110 more, you actually get decent legroom, seat choice, and earlier boarding. On my LAX–SJO flights it made a big difference.
Food’s decent too with their cheese plate, though LAX Terminal 6 isn’t much to brag about. Still, $435 roundtrip feels like solid value when Copa and United are running higher.
