Airside hotel at AMS during a US → Lisbon connection

I’ve got a long layover at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) coming up. I’ll be flying from the US and connecting onward to Lisbon.

I’ve been looking into the Mercure Hotel and the YOTELAIR cabins inside the airport but can’t find a clear answer about which side of passport control they’re on.

Are either of these located airside in the Schengen zone, or are they before Schengen immigration?

Also wondering if it even matters in this case. Since I’m arriving from the US and continuing to Portugal (Schengen), I assume I’ll go through passport control at AMS anyway, so I’m trying to figure out which side of immigration I’d actually be able to access.

Has anyone stayed at either of these during a similar connection?
