Airport lounges are going full luxury- caviar, sushi bars, seafood towers

The airport lounge arms race is officially out of control. Delta, Amex, Chase, Capital One. They’re all trying to one-up each other with brasseries, sushi counters, cocktail bars, and full-on spa treatments. JFK’s Delta One Lounge will offer you caviar before takeoff for miles, naturally, and even the Centurion Lounge French toast has its own fanbase now. Meanwhile, out in the main terminal? You're lucky if you get a lukewarm sandwich and a working outlet.

The wildest part is how fast it escalates. It’s like airlines cut snacks in coach and threw that budget into 85-dollar caviar cones for the lounge crowd. This whole luxury for the few crumbs for the rest of the thing really puts the wealth gap on display at 30,000 feet. Anyone else starting to feel like a spectator in their own airport?
