Airbnb canceled my guest 3 hours before check-in, no payout, no info

I got a call from Airbnb around 1PM saying they were canceling a 16-day stay because the guest “violated the terms of service.” Check-in was at 4PM. They won’t tell me what happened just that the guest is now considered a safety risk and I won’t get paid, even with a strict cancellation policy.


They told me to call the police if the guest shows up, but won’t say why or what the issue was. I’ve talked to three different reps and none of them seem to know anything.


Has anyone had this happen before? I’m stunned and honestly not feeling safe knowing this guest still has my contact info.
