We were supposed to fly DEL to SFO on March 14 and got notified about 12 hours before departure that our flight was cancelled.
Instead of a reasonable alternative, they rebooked us for April 2… almost 3 weeks later.
Called them and basically got told there was nothing they could do and to just take a refund.
We ended up paying $4800 for last minute one-way tickets with Emirates just to get home.
Has anyone had any luck getting compensation from Air India in a situation like this?
