I’m flying HAN–CDG–YUL with an infant in about 48 hours, and I’m trying to understand if my bassinet request is actually confirmed.
The first leg is operated by Vietnam Airlines as part of a codeshare with Air France. I contacted Air France Vietnam a week before departure to request a bassinet, and they replied saying the request has been noted.
However, when I asked if this meant the bassinet was confirmed, they said I still need to check with airport staff to finalize it. I didn’t fully understand their explanation, even though there is no language barrier.
I’m confused about what could prevent me from getting the bassinet if I already requested it early. Also, what is the purpose of requesting it in advance if it still isn’t guaranteed?
Has anyone dealt with this situation before on Air France or Vietnam Airlines codeshare flights?
