Starting November 1, 2024, Air France‑KLM’s Flying Blue loyalty program implemented a cap allowing Platinum members to carry over at most 300 surplus XP per qualification period, replacing the previous unlimited rollover system. During a transitional phase through October 31, 2025, every additional 300 XP earned beyond that cap will be converted into one year of credit toward Lifetime Platinum status. After the transition, any surplus XP beyond 300 will no longer contribute to future qualification periods or lifetime status progress.
