Just discovered the Air France Discount Pass and trying to figure out if it actually makes sense for frequent travel. I go back and forth a lot between southern France and northern Germany, so on paper this looks interesting.
A few things I’m unclear on though. Can you book connecting flights like MRS–CDG–HAM, or is it only valid on direct routes? And if connections are allowed, does that include AF/KLM routings like MRS–AMS–HAM?
Also curious how this works with the TGV inOui segments that have AF flight numbers. For example, something like Nîmes–CDG by train and then CDG–HAM on the same ticket. Is that covered by the pass or not?
They also say tickets are changeable and refundable at any time. Does that include changing the return destination entirely? Like booking HAM–MRS and later deciding to fly into MPL instead?
And lastly, since one way tickets are mentioned, can you start the pass with a one way flight into France?
If anyone actually uses this pass, would love to hear how flexible it is in real life vs how it’s marketed.
