Air France customer service and luggage delay nightmare

I like flying Air France too, but their customer service can be brutal. Someone’s bag was delayed on AF196 back on Jan 7, 2026, and they’ve been stuck in limbo for a month trying to get a simple luggage delay statement.


They need it for a travel insurance claim and keep getting told to just wait. No timeline, no help. On top of that, the website apparently isn’t much better.


Has anyone actually managed to get a luggage delay confirmation from Air France without endless back and forth? Curious if there’s a trick or if this is just how it goes.
