Just flew a multi-city trip with Air China (Budapest–Chongqing, Shanghai–Osaka, Tokyo–Chongqing–Budapest). For around 600 EUR per person it was a steal compared to other airlines.
Website looked dated and the captcha was annoying, but booking was smooth. Free seat selection, 23 kg checked bag, decent food, clean plane, and legroom was fine even for me at 2m tall. Crew spoke enough English too.
My return flights got cancelled twice because of China–Japan tensions, which was stressful, but the call center helped rebook. For the price, I’d definitely fly them again.
