Agoda price jump at checkout is infuriating but sadly not surprising

This rant feels very real. Seeing one price, clicking purchase, and then watching it double at the exact moment of checkout would make anyone lose it. And asking for screenshots of the before price is just insulting. No normal person records their screen every time they buy a flight.

Agoda loves playing the game of showing a big attractive number, then quietly stacking fees right at the end and hiding behind fine print. It might be technically legal, but it feels incredibly misleading, especially for people booking last minute or not obsessively checking every line item.

Domestic Korea flights are usually cheap and straightforward if booked direct, which makes this sting even more. Paying $500 for a GMP–CJU roundtrip is brutal.

Hard lesson, but a good warning. Third party flight sites are fine until something goes wrong, and then they’re suddenly very hands off.
