Bonjour,
We are a family of four with children aged 10 and 6, arriving at CDG at 1 pm on May 1. I am trying to plan around the public holiday, as I understand many places may be closed.
We have a private transfer to our hotel in Montparnasse, but I expect we will not arrive before around 4 pm due to timing.
My wife would really like to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle at night, and I think our first evening may be the best opportunity since we will likely be jet lagged after an overnight flight from Canada.
I was considering walking through Luxembourg Gardens and continuing toward the Seine, possibly visiting Église Saint-Sulpice and Saint-Germain-des-Prés along the way, before reaching the Batobus, which seems like a nice activity for us.
I have also tried looking for restaurant options for dinner that would allow us to see the Eiffel Tower afterward and then return via Line 6, but I am finding it difficult to confirm what will be open and suitable for a family.
At this point, my best idea is to buy picnic supplies on the way and have a picnic during a Seine cruise for our first evening.
I would appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance.
