I have an overnight stopover in Doha, but since my ticket is marketed by another airline, I am not eligible for Qatar’s complimentary transit accommodation.
I am trying to decide what makes the most sense for the night. I have heard there are rest and quiet areas in the airport, but I am not sure how comfortable they actually are or whether they tend to get crowded overnight.
I am also considering booking the Oryx Airport Hotel inside the terminal versus leaving the airport and getting a hotel in the city before returning the next day.
I also have checked baggage, so I am unsure how much that changes things if I decide to leave the airport during the layover.
If you have done an overnight transit in Doha, what would you recommend? Which option would you choose in this situation?
