Accor stays in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, quick gold member take

Just wrapped up a week in the UAE and stayed at a few Accor properties. I’m Gold and figured I’d share quick impressions in case it helps anyone planning a similar trip.

Mövenpick JLT

Half board, around ₹12.5k a night. Got upgraded to a larger lake view room with a big balcony. Room itself was excellent, though the entrance feels a bit underwhelming. Breakfast was limited but the Rohini Indian restaurant was really good. Nice calm area by the lake with lots of food options and about a 700m walk to DMCC Metro. Best value stay of the trip for me.

Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche

Breakfast included, about ₹22k for two nights using iShop and accelerated points. Upgraded to a high floor sea view room. Very grand hotel overall, though the rooms are on the smaller side. Breakfast spread was huge and easily the best of the trip. Shops nearby and beach about 1.5km away. Felt the most upscale in terms of vibe.

Swissôtel Al Ghurair

Family room booked with points, about ₹21k a night. Rooms were large but clearly dated. Service was just okay. It’s inside the mall so we skipped breakfast. Location is very convenient with Union Metro about 200m away, but this was probably the weakest stay overall.

Fairmont Dubai

Around ₹17k a night booked via FORA with third night free, credits, and breakfast. Got a junior suite upgrade with views of the Museum of the Future and Burj Khalifa. Excellent service, late checkout, and solid breakfast though it got crowded. Right at WTC Metro. Best overall experience when you factor everything in.

Overall, Mövenpick JLT for value and Fairmont Dubai for the full experience stood out the most.
