I recently spent about two weeks at an Accor hotel in Buenos Aires. During that stay, I took a one-night trip to Montevideo. Since I did not want to bring all of my luggage with me, I kept my Buenos Aires room and did not check out. I then booked another Accor property for the single night in Montevideo.
Apparently that turned out to be a big mistake.
Today I noticed that my 15-night stay in Buenos Aires was marked ineligible for points because I had another overlapping Accor stay and points were already credited for that one-night booking instead.
I have been a Diamond member for several years and already have more than 40k status points this year, so this feels like a surprisingly poor customer experience. The frustrating part is that if I had stayed at a non-Accor property for that one night, there likely would not have been an issue at all.
Has anyone else run into this situation before and successfully had it corrected through support or a manual review?
