Had wrist surgery a few weeks ago (metal plate, screws, the works), so my arm’s out of commission for a while. Booked UA501 to Orlando before the injury and asked to preboard since I didn’t want to block the aisle one-handed. GA said no problem… then pointed out I was in the exit row. Oops. FA moved me to 9F.
Later a taller woman came by saying I was in her seat explained the situation, she ended up with extra legroom and even got her bag stored up front. Everyone handled it super chill.
One of those rare seat swaps that actually made everyone happy. I just need to stop booking exit rows till this wrist heals 😂
