Was anyone else on the Dublin to Vancouver connection through Heathrow yesterday? DUB to LHR was nearly two hours late with zero explanation or apology. About 15 to 20 of us were clearly going to miss connections and the crew did absolutely nothing to help. No early deplaning. No announcements. Nothing.
We were told we could still make the Vancouver flight if we ran, then got stopped at security and told it was too late. Sent to BA customer service who said the next option was Wednesday. That would have meant missing three days of work and paying for hotels ourselves.
A few of us basically had to argue until a supervisor stepped in and finally let us through. We made it to the gate completely wrecked. Saw others get denied right at the end even though they’d been told they could make it.
Honestly some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Just zero care given.
