Recently flew AA168 and the food and drinks were actually a lot better than expected.
Had heard some rumors that the catering might be the same as what Japan Airlines uses, and honestly it did feel like a step up from what I usually expect.
The only downside was that there wasn’t much offered for mid-flight dining, but overall the meal service itself was pretty solid.
