I was rushing through the airport to make a tight connection after my SLC → SFO flight arrived about 1 hour and 20 minutes late. I needed to catch my SFO → AKL flight, and missing it would have been a major issue since the next available departure wasn't for several days.
While hurrying across what was estimated to be a 25-minute walk, I received assistance that helped make the connection much less stressful. Another traveler I met who was trying to make the same flight was equally grateful.
We still had to move quickly, but the extra help allowed us to cover the remaining distance much faster. In the end, we reached the gate before departure and avoided the risk of boarding doors closing before we arrived, which was especially important given the 13-hour international flight ahead.
