9 hour delay on United but honestly not that mad about it

Was supposed to fly SFO to ORD Sunday night at 11:05pm but we didn’t leave until 8am. We deplaned twice, the crew timed out, total chaos. Everything in the airport was closed.


But credit where it’s due, United handled it pretty well. I rebooked my connection three times in the app with no issues and kept my first class upgrade. Got $15 in food credit and a $75 travel cert afterward.


Yeah it was annoying, but after 50 flights this year I’ve seen worse. Curious if others would push for more compensation or just move on like I did.
