My wife and I are flying Dublin to Charlotte with an 8 hour layover at Heathrow.
I’m getting mixed info online about whether a UK ETA is required in this situation. Since we’re coming from Ireland, do we have to go through UK border control at Heathrow? Or is it treated as a sterile international connection?
Trying to figure out if we need to apply for an ETA or if we can stay airside the whole time.
Would appreciate clarity from anyone who’s done this recently.
