I have an 8-hour layover in Hong Kong, arriving at 2:30 PM with a connecting long-haul flight to London at 10:45 PM. I’m trying to decide whether it makes sense to leave the airport and explore the city or stay airside for the duration of the layover.
I will be traveling with only cabin baggage, but I do need to collect my boarding pass. Given the available time, I’m weighing the practicality of exiting the airport versus the time required for immigration, transport to and from the city, and security procedures on return.
I would appreciate advice on whether this layover duration is sufficient to leave the airport comfortably, or if it is better to remain inside and wait for the connecting flight.
