Got a choice coming up:
SIN to FRA on a Lufthansa 747-400
or
BKK to MUC on an A380
Never flown either type. I’ve done the 747-8 before, but not the -400.
If I could afford business, I’d pick the 747 upper deck instantly. But realistically I’ll be in economy. So no upper deck magic on the 747.
That’s what makes this tricky.
The 747-400 is probably living on borrowed time, so this might be one of my last chances to fly it. But since I’ve flown the -8, I’m wondering if I’m not missing that much.
On the other hand, the A380 upper deck in economy is actually possible with LH’s layout. And there are fewer and fewer A380s around too. Plus… those RR engines.
So it’s basically:
