I have a 50 minute layover in Hong Kong on a Cathay Pacific itinerary and I’m a bit nervous about it.
I’ll be flying Ho Chi Minh City → Hong Kong → Dallas, all on Cathay. It’s my first time flying with them and I’ve heard they sometimes help passengers with tight connections.
If the connection is tight, do they usually have staff helping people transfer quickly? Is there something I should say or do when I land if I’m worried about missing the next flight?
Also wondering about the worst case scenario. If I do miss the connection and have to stay in Hong Kong airport overnight, are there lounges that allow paid access, or any sleeping pods / rest areas in the airport?
Would appreciate any tips from people who’ve done tight connections at HKG before.
