This was my first cruise, and while planning the trip I read plenty of reviews that made me think booking an interior cabin for four people would be a huge mistake.
I also saw a lot of comments claiming that booking two cabins usually costs about the same as putting four people in one room, making two cabins the obvious choice. When I priced everything out, that definitely wasn’t the case for my sailing, so I’m not sure if pricing varies by cruise line, ship, or itinerary.
After actually taking the cruise, I wanted to share my experience because it turned out much better than I expected. While four people in an interior cabin obviously isn't luxurious, it was completely manageable for our group and didn't negatively impact the trip the way many reviews suggested it would.
For anyone considering a cruise and worried that an interior cabin for four automatically means a bad experience, that certainly wasn't the case for us.
