This new RESET hotel opening in Twentynine Palms caught my eye first new full-service hotel in the area in over 15 years, apparently. It’s smallish 65 rooms but it sounds like they’re leaning hard into design-forward desert minimalism, private patios, fire pits, even outdoor soaking tubs in some suites. And they’ve got a 1,000 sq ft saltwater pool and a sculpture park in the works on the 180-acre property.
Honestly, Joshua Tree’s been dominated by quirky Airbnbs and motels for a while, so it’s kinda nice to see a more intentional hotel offering in that area. Wonder if this kicks off a new wave of higher-end desert builds, or if it’ll stay a one-off. Anyone planning a trip out there?
