30+ hours in Amtrak coach, how rough is it really?

Thinking about trying Amtrak for a long trip instead of driving. It’d be about 31 hours one way, then 36 hours back four days later, all in coach. I figure it’s like two days of driving, but maybe I’m underestimating how much a hotel night helps break it up.
