I recently returned from a 3-week trip to Japan, which was a lifelong dream of mine as an anime and manga fan. I visited all four main islands: Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Hokkaido, and ended up taking nearly 3,000 photos along the way.
The trip started in Tokyo before continuing to places like Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and then up to northern regions including Sapporo and Niseko. After that, I traveled through Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and finally back to Tokyo.
Some of the most memorable moments included visiting Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, Miyajima’s shrines, Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama, exploring Kyoto temples like Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizudera, feeding deer in Nara, and experiencing cherry blossom season at its peak. I also enjoyed a mix of city life in Osaka and Tokyo along with quieter coastal and rural areas.
Overall, the trip exceeded all expectations, combining cultural experiences, food, nature, and spontaneous moments that made the journey unforgettable.
