I’m flying London Heathrow → Madrid → Lima this Saturday and my connection at Madrid Barajas is only 1 hour 5 minutes, both in Terminal 4S.
My arrival is 23:05, and the onward flight leaves at 00:10. It’s a BA/Iberia codeshare on the same ticket. Originally I had a 3-hour layover, but that flight got cancelled and this was the rebooking.
Iberia’s site says 1 hour is the minimum connection time, but it still feels really tight. I’ll only have cabin baggage, no checked luggage.
For anyone who’s connected through T4S → T4S at Madrid, how realistic is this?
Is there passport control involved for this route, and how long does it usually take late at night?
Just trying to gauge whether this is manageable or if I should expect to be sprinting.
