Was checking my Amtrak booking again and nearly fell out of my chair. The fare for WAS–PVD (Union Station to Providence) round-trip Oct 9–13 is now showing $1,900 for 2 travelers in Business Class Flex.
When I booked a while back, I paid a little under $600 total for my dad and me. I get that it’s Columbus Day weekend and demand spikes, but wow this pricing feels way over the top. At that point you’re in “fly first class” money. Anyone else seeing insane Flex fares lately?
