Parent here trying to find the middle ground. Daughter and two friends want a post high school graduation trip. One parent is super relaxed, one is very protective, and I’m somewhere in between.
Idea would be letting them explore on their own but with me in the same country or general area.
Are Spain or Portugal good choices for safety and getting around without a car? I’ve been to Spain once, never Portugal. Just trying to get a general vibe and see if this feels manageable or like a bad idea.
Open to suggestions from people who’ve done something similar.
